Big Kid Playhouse : DESIGN -

It’s always a sad day when kids grow up, and when you have to get rid of your favorite things of theirs. We just redid our playhouse for the sweetest family and now are building a BIG KID PLAYHOUSE!

Now that we are saying goodbye to this playhouse HERE let me share with you some of the BIG Kid playhouses we have been inspired by! I will be making my own version and taking bits and pieces of each of these that I love!

This was the plan with our old playhouse, to put it on a deck but we never got around to it. I LOVE what my friend Leanna from Life by Leanna did. You can see her blog post on how she transformed it and made this space HERE.

The Hand Made Home

I feel like I should write a whole blog post just to Ashley and Jamin from The Hand Made Home, I know SO many people have been inspired by this original handmade hideaway. Many years ago I had the dream of making one after I saw theirs, and it’s becoming a reality!

I do have to say, they are OUR inspo – BUT James doesn’t read plans or follow them… I love to research and figure out how to build things and he and I don’t see the same – just the outcome. I will be curious how similar they are done, the shape definitely will be since my kids already added an addition!

Let’s remember I am no artist haha, but I do love to draw out what’s in this crazy brain of mine! Here is our little design – already we have QUITE a few changes ….but those I will share at a later date! If you saw my post on INSTAGRAM HERE you would see that we changed the shape – yes the kids asked for an addition right after we built the base! James of course wanted to give them all their wishes and the next day went to work!
