Welcome friend! I'm so glad you have joined me here at Dreaming of Homemaking. I like to think of this blog as my journal, full of ideas that have helped me turn my house into a warm, welcoming home. My hope is that you too find this little piece of the internet a place to gather ideas and find inspiration.
It is time to be creative, but not all of us are. I will be sharing Mother’s Day gift ideas + a printable thats always a hit for mothers and grandmothers!
I think this will be the year to remember. It isn’t normal, or a new normal – its just a moment in our lives that we are going through. It will make us cherish all the small moments and the big ones. It will make us stronger and realize that our “problems” aren’t so big. We will be more grateful, and humble then will appreciate everything so much more. We are each learning to be more creative.
How can we celebrate Mother’s? There are so many ways even if we can’t be near. Just remember it doesn’t have to be anything grand. Just ask yourself, what would I want? For most of us, we just want a moment of peace… to not have to clean up after we cook.. to be able to take a nap.. to have one less load of laundry.. to read a book.. watch a show… the list goes on! Now lets get creative!
PHONE CALL / FACETIME : I think we all can use any form of connection these days. Go ahead and call any mother figure in your life and let them know how you feel about them.
SNAIL MAIL : Send hand written letters, card, or even a note.
DRIVE BY : If you are lucky enough to live near, go drive by and spread some cheer!
PORCH DROP : You can drop off your card, put some hearts on their door, do a scavenger hunt in their yard, leave a picnic or just knock on their window…. so many ideas just be creative!
All of these ideas are wonderful!
Thank you Leslie!
Great ideas! We’re all having to get a bit more creative with ways to celebrate these days!
