Christmas Cottage Home Tour

Sharing is caring!

Today I will be showing you into our newly redone kitchen, since around here I cant ever say I am done! We just redid our butcher block island and today I will be giving you the first peek! Look forward to all the details in another post soon, but lets stop chatting and show you my kitchen!

A wall used to be in this very spot where you now see into our kitchen, from this view you are standing in our dining room. There are so many things I love in this space thats about to turn into a hot cocoa station. The amazing wood cutout sign is from Harper Grayce I am just in awe at the quality and craftsmanship of it. ( If you wanted to get a sign use code dreamingofhomemaking for 15% off on their website)  The table underneath is an antique find I found and just adore. The little Christmas trees were a great find at Ikea, and that rustic metal deer is from one of my favorite small shops Purple Rose Home.  Till after Thanksgiving my trees will stay bare, then we will decorate to say my kids are excited is an understatement! Do you spy that beautiful chunky knit tree skirt from the ever so talented Artizen Home , it is so cozy my puppy Rosie loves to curl up on it!

I feel like I am going to start to sound like my kids with all my favorites, but there are so many things I love about my kitchen that we have poured our hearts into! Walking in through that entrance you will see our farmhouse sink, and right above my planter from Caravan Home filled with a rosemary tree from trader joes ( they have the best plant/flower/greenery prices) We have our new roman shade from Frosting Home Decor, and can I tell you why didn’t I have this before?? They not only make the space look better, but they are so well made! (Right now she is offering my readers 24% off with the code BLACKFRIDAY ). I love my little wreaths from Target and Magnolias Hearth and Hand line!

These beams, I secretly was so glad we needed them to hold up the ceiling… the open shelves we added later this year and I have been in love since! It is so fun being able to change them up each season. The theme for the holidays is a baking theme! I can’t wait to start baking like crazy with my new kitchen aid from The Mine! Now look at those copper canisters from The Mine, they are even better than pictured and match my little cookie cutters perfectly!

I get so many question about what the silver faucet above my stove is, and its called a pot filler from Signature Hardware. If you are getting ready to do a remodel I highly suggest it!  We converted our stove to gas and have been so impressed by it. I love my range hood from ikea, and even more at Christmas time decorated by some greenery and pinecones!

I need to talk about this amazing shop I found called ETU Home. This demijohn bowl is made from recycled glass, and all their products are repurposed sustainable creations. You will also see that amazing Charcuterie Board from their company along my subway tile wall, I have one of their candles to and I am hooked on their products!

A shop that is newer to me, but you can find in most boutiques is Caravan Home right now they are offering 20% off to my readers with the code DOH17  They have a wide variety of linens, dishes, and even this marble cake stand with lid! Since I didn’t have a  cake this little target house fit perfectly don’t you think?

When we decided on our remodel this space had a slider here, and an area that served no purpose.  We went with the dutch door, and used the extra space for built ins and I can’t begin to tell you how great it is to have space that functions! I am loving this Evergreen and Pine wreath from Purple Rose Home it has some magnolia leaves in it which I love! Purple Rose Home is a small shop in  Northborough, Massachusetts but they also ship anywhere in the USA if you haven’t checked out their shop its time to!

Now this is the first time I have shown this view, and I literally want to scream from the roof tops or well cry with tears of joy how much I love my new island! I searched for the perfect quartz and I found it from Bedrosians, it is the Sequel Quartz Slab in Dreamscape! The whole process was so wonderful but I will do another post to show each detail and how we extended it but here is the pretty view!

I also changed our chairs in the process, and I found these X-back Stools fromThe Mine  I wanted to find something that looked like my ikea chairs but that had a little more to them and these ended up being just what I wanted!

Do you spy my new sign from my friend Whitney at Oh Sweet Skye it is perfection! I love that you are able to customize your sign however you want – now you can order this one with a 15% discount with the code HOMEMAKINGXMAS in any color or stain!

One more peek at this side of my “new” kitchen before I take you back around to finish the tour! I hope you love it just as much as I do!

Rosie is loving the new addition just as much as we are, more room equals more chances of more food on the ground for her!

We added a lot of length to the island since our kids are growing and with extra friends over it was needed. The legs we needed to add since the island base wasn’t moving and I tried Amy Howard at Home one step paint in ballet white, and loved how easy it went on! ( More details coming under my DIY tab soon!)

I need to order one more chair, it fits perfectly in the space here and excited we not only created space for the kids but for a friend to!
